The Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India is organizing a workshop titled "eFiling 3.0: From Process to Practice" on November 4, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. onwards at Hall No. 5, Vigyan Bhawan, Maulana Azad Road, New Delhi. This initiative falls under the eCourts Mission Mode Project and aims to familiarize government officials with the eFiling 3.0 platform as part of efforts to advance ease of justice through technology.

The workshop will be graced by Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Hon'ble Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Law and Justice, with expected attendance from Members of the eCommittee, Supreme Court of India. Technical sessions will be conducted by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) covering four main areas: an overview of eCourts applications and services, eCourts Single Sign-On (SSO) and mobile app, features and functions of eFiling 3.0 including facilities for Government Pleaders and Government Departments, and an open discussion with participating officers.

Phase III of the eCourts Project specifically targets end-to-end digital and paperless courts with citizen-centric judicial eServices, including universal adoption of eFiling across all courts. The workshop recognizes that Government Ministries and Departments, along with their attached and subordinate offices, autonomous and regulatory bodies, and Public Sector Undertakings, account for a substantial share of litigation. Their wider adoption of eFiling is expected to improve efficiency and reduce reliance on physical court processes. The event reflects the Government of India's commitment to creating a digital, paperless, and citizen-centric justice delivery system while strengthening institutional technology adoption in judicial processes.
