LNG Shares Fall After Iran Opens Strait

US LNG stocks fell after Iran announced the Strait of Hormuz would stay open for commercial vessels during the ceasefire.
Venture Global dropped 6%, NextDecade fell 5.8%, and Cheniere Energy slipped 4.1% in the pre‑market session.
Iran’s Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed on X that all commercial vessels must use the route announced by Iran’s Ports and Maritime Organisation.
WTI crude oil futures dropped about 11%, trading just above $84 per barrel following the announcement.
