Program Highlights

The main programme comprises an Opening Ceremony followed by a series of thematic sessions: Session A will examine the global landscape of carbon recycling and outline Japan’s initiatives; a Special Session will address emerging topics; Session B will delve into advanced carbon‑recycling technologies for developing a CO₂ value chain; Session C will discuss industrial collaboration and market development for deploying carbon‑recycling solutions; the programme concludes with a Closing Ceremony. Concurrent events include a Poster Session, a Networking Reception, a Startup Event, and a “CR Exchange of Views for Students” session, providing additional platforms for knowledge sharing and networking.

Background and Significance

Since its inaugural edition in 2019, the conference has been held annually to showcase Japan’s carbon‑recycling research, business cases, and international cooperation efforts. As climate‑change mitigation becomes increasingly urgent, carbon recycling—treating emitted CO₂ as a reusable resource—is positioned as a key technology for achieving carbon neutrality and advancing Japan’s Green Transformation (GX) agenda.
