Press Conference Overview
On August 19, 2026, the Maharashtra Flat Owners Welfare Association (MFOWA) convened a press conference at its Andheri headquarters in Mumbai to discuss the way forward for flat purchasers of the Chadha Residency project located at Karav‑Shil, Ambernath, Maharashtra.
Core Objective
MFOWA stated that its primary objective is to create a positive platform for dialogue between flat purchasers and all project stakeholders, aiming to address practical concerns and support the smooth, timely completion of the residential development.
Possession Timeline
The Association referenced the Agreement for Sale in its possession, which specifies March 31, 2026 as the target possession date, and emphasized the need to maintain momentum to meet this deadline.
Construction Progress and Required Work
MFOWA called for a detailed discussion on the current construction status, the remaining work across various zones, and the specific steps needed to achieve completion. The association highlighted the importance of completing essential facilities and common infrastructure, including water supply, electricity, drainage, internal roads, lifts, fire‑safety arrangements, and other amenities required for comfortable living.
Transparency and Communication
The Association urged regular and transparent updates on construction activity, essential facilities, and the overall development timeline, asserting that better communication would reduce uncertainty and enable families to plan their next steps with confidence.
Stakeholder Engagement
MFOWA expressed willingness to participate in discussions with the developer, project professionals, financial institutions, and representatives of flat purchasers to identify practical solutions. It reiterated its intention to help establish a clear, realistic, and time‑bound roadmap covering the remaining work and the transition to possession.
Prior Mediation Effort
The Association noted that it had previously invited the developer to a Friendly Amicable Settlement Meeting through mediation to discuss project progress, remaining work, financial matters, and a possible possession plan.
Commitment to Amicable Resolution
MFOWA affirmed its commitment to constructive, solution‑oriented dialogue, believing that continued engagement can create common ground, accelerate progress on matters important to purchasers, and ultimately enable eligible purchasers to move into their homes with confidence.
