President Murmu conferred National Florence Nightingale Awards to 15 nursing professionals for exemplary service.
Each award includes a cash prize of ₹1,00,000, a medal, and a Certificate of Merit.
The awards recognize nurses, midwives, ANMs, and Lady Health Visitors across government and voluntary organizations.
Government initiatives include 157 new nursing colleges and the National Nursing and Midwifery Commission Act.
