The Ministry of Ayush has achieved a new Guinness World Record for the Most Viewers for a YouTube Live Yoga Stream, with 435,831 verified viewers participating in a special global online yoga session streamed through its official YouTube channel. This record was set on June 14, 2026, as part of the Ministry's outreach activities for International Day of Yoga 2026, surpassing the previous record of 246,252 viewers set in 2024 by a margin of 189,579 viewers.

The event featured the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) and was organized to promote the Ministry's Yoga 365 movement, encouraging daily yoga practice. Participants included yoga practitioners, students, institutions, professionals, and wellness enthusiasts from across India and globally. The Habuild team provided expert guidance throughout the program, which was organized in collaboration with the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) and other partner organizations.

Union Minister of State (IC) for Ayush and Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare Shri Prataprao Jadhav addressed participants, emphasizing yoga's power to connect people across regions and cultures while promoting health and well-being. Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary of the Ministry of Ayush, highlighted that the achievement demonstrates growing global recognition of yoga as a tool for health beyond a one-day event. The program also featured special messages from Mukesh Mahaling (Minister for Health and Family Welfare of Odisha), Shri Kiren Rijiju (Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minister of Minority Affairs), and Dr. Mohan Yadav (Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh), who all emphasized yoga's role in preventive healthcare and holistic well-being.

The International Day of Yoga 2026 will be celebrated under the theme 'Yoga for Healthy Ageing' (स्वस्थ आयु के लिए योग), focusing on yoga's role in promoting healthy longevity and enhancing quality of life across all age groups. The main celebration will be held in Kolkata, West Bengal, on June 21, 2026. The Ministry expressed gratitude to all participants, yoga institutions, educational establishments, government departments, corporate organizations, social groups, and members of the global Indian diaspora for their participation in achieving this record.
