The Ministry of Coal held a preparatory meeting for Special Campaign 6.0, chaired by Shri Sanjeev Kumar Kassi, Joint Secretary of the Ministry. The meeting provided an overview of the upcoming campaign and included a detailed presentation outlining its key objectives, focus areas, and implementation strategy. Officials were briefed on the achievements and best practices adopted during Special Campaign 5.0, with Nodal Officers being sensitized to various activities and priorities envisaged under Special Campaign 6.0.
Key focus areas of Special Campaign 6.0 include effective collection, segregation and disposal of e-waste; enhancement of office spaces; adoption of modern cleaning practices; efficient disposal of scrap; optimal utilization of office space; promotion of digitalization and eco-friendly practices; conversion of waste into wealth; fostering inclusivity; adopting citizen-centric approaches; and strengthening institutional protocols and mechanisms.
According to DARPG's Assessment Report of Special Campaign 5.0, the Ministry of Coal secured the top rank in terms of space freed and third rank in revenue earned. The successful implementation of Special Campaign 5.0 reflects the Ministry's continued commitment to cleanliness, environmental sustainability and efficient resource management, providing a strong foundation for Special Campaign 6.0.
