The Ministry of Steel will conduct an Open House on July 9, 2026, to address issues related to steel imports, specifically focusing on SIMS (Steel Import Monitoring System), SARAL SIMS, and QCO (Quality Control Order) exemption matters. The event will be held from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the Steel Room, 3rd Floor, GPOA-3, Netaji Nagar, New Delhi.
Companies and industry associations are invited to present their import-related concerns during the Open House. Participants must register by sending an email to tech-steel[at]nic[dot]in by July 6, 2026, at 4:00 PM to secure confirmed time slots. The registration email must include seven specific details: the name of the company/association, industry type and product category (such as Auto, Aerospace, Telecom, or Defence), the specific issue category (SIMS, SARAL SIMS, or QCO exemption), reference numbers of any previous applications, a brief 50-word description of the issue, the name and designation of the participant (with third-party representation prohibited), and the participant's contact details including mobile number and email.
Due to logistical constraints, walk-in participants will not be accommodated, and each organization is limited to one representative to ensure broader participation. The Ministry will assign specific time slots via email confirmation to registered participants.
