The Ministry of Textiles has commenced the Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 Campaign, a nationwide cleanliness initiative running from September 17 to October 2, 2026, across all organizations under the ministry. The campaign's theme 'Swachhata Mein Sahbhag, Swachh Bharat Viksit Bharat' emphasizes collective effort and community involvement in cleanliness as a festival.

Key activities include cleanliness drives in office premises, educational institution campuses, and public areas with participation from employees, students, civil society groups, and local communities. The Ministry conducted a Thematic Art Poster Making Competition on September 18, 2026, at GPOA-3 Netaji Nagar, New Delhi, while division heads visited various sections to review cleanliness and encourage hygienic practices.

Digital and physical campaign elements include Swachhata Hi Seva banners uploaded to ministry and organizational websites, standees installed at prominent office locations, and selfie points created to encourage public engagement. Affiliated organizations participated actively: Central Cottage Industries Corporation organized a Swachhata awareness session on September 17, 2026, and displayed posters/wall messages about Swachhata and water conservation in showrooms on September 18, 2026.

The Cotton Corporation of India Ltd undertook site beautification initiatives, created dedicated selfie points and creative installations to encourage citizen interaction and social media sharing. The Textile Committee conducted awareness campaigns against single-use plastic and for conservation of natural resources. The campaign aims to promote cleanliness awareness, strengthen citizen participation, and enhance visibility of the Swachhata initiative across the textiles sector ecosystem.
