The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) is actively implementing Special Campaign 6, achieving approximately 60-70% progress against identified targets as of October 25, 2026. The campaign focuses on cleanliness drives in offices, corridors, and canteens; review and weeding out of physical records; removal of redundant materials; and identification and disposal of e-waste in accordance with applicable guidelines.

Participation includes MNRE, its two Central Public Sector Undertakings (Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) and Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI)), and three Autonomous Institutes (National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE), and Sardar Swaran Singh National Institute of Bio-Energy (SSS-NIBE)).

The campaign was launched by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) with the objective of institutionalizing Swachhata and minimizing pendency in Government offices. The implementation phase commenced on October 2, 2026, and will continue until October 31, 2026. MNRE remains committed to achieving all identified targets by the October 31 deadline and sustaining the culture of cleanliness, accountability, and efficient workplace management beyond the campaign period.
