The Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA), in collaboration with the Airports Authority of India (AAI), celebrated the 12th International Day of Yoga on June 21, 2026, with an event held at Aviation Park, Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, New Delhi. The event followed the global theme "Yoga for Healthy Ageing" and aimed to promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being within the aviation sector.

The program commenced with a ceremonial assembly and traditional lamp-lighting ceremony. Civil Aviation Secretary Shri Samir Kumar Sinha administered the Yoga Pledge to participants. Certified yoga experts then led a guided session following the Common Yoga Protocol.

The event was attended by senior officials including Shri Vipin Kumar, Chairman of the Airports Authority of India, and Shri Puneet Kansal, Additional Secretary of MoCA, along with other senior officials from both organizations. In his address, Secretary Sinha emphasized the importance of integrating yoga, pranayama, and meditation into daily routines rather than treating it as a single-day observance, noting that daily practice contributes to improved health, enhanced energy, greater discipline, and a balanced lifestyle.
