Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron jointly inaugurated 'Bharat Innovates 2026' at the Palais des Expositions in Nice, France. The three-day event serves as a global platform for Indian deep-tech startups, innovators, researchers, and investors to connect with international innovation funds and expand their global footprint.

The showcase presents 120 pathbreaking Indian startups and over 20 Institutes of Excellence across 13 critical technology pillars of global importance. Over 350 top investors and venture capitalists from across the world are participating in the event, which aims to showcase India's premier deep technology on the global stage.

Prime Minister Modi highlighted the steadfast partnership between India and France in addressing global challenges, specifically mentioning Indo-French initiatives such as the International Solar Alliance, Artificial Intelligence collaboration, and efforts to promote stability and security in the Indo-Pacific. He noted that Bharat Innovates represents a milestone in the ongoing India-France Year of Innovation celebration and reflects the shared resolve of both countries to work for global good.

The Prime Minister emphasized the transformative potential of various technologies showcased, including AI and satellite technology for rural development, Advanced Manufacturing for sustainable living, and Green Hydrogen, Battery Technologies, and Electric mobility for clean development. He called upon innovators, investors, and entrepreneurs to develop technologies that are trusted, inclusive, and human-centric, stressing that startups should be judged not just by market valuation but also by their impact on humanity.

Both leaders interacted with startups and innovators spanning multiple frontier sectors including Quantum Computing, Semiconductors, Biotechnology, Defence, Space, Healthcare, MedTech, Advanced Materials, and Clean Energy. They also witnessed the exhibition and engaged with participants across these cutting-edge technology domains. The event underscores the Government of India's commitment to transforming India into a global innovation hub consistent with the vision of Viksit Bharat and highlights the importance of India-France cooperation in contributing to the global technology landscape.
