MoHUA and MoPNG Review PNG Expansion in 110 Focus Areas

Secretaries of MoHUA and MoPNG chaired a review meeting on accelerating PNG network expansion in 110 high-priority geographic areas.
The meeting directed states and ULBs to expedite approvals and set time-bound action plans to achieve 30 lakh new PNG connections.
A mission-mode approach was emphasized, with a focus on 110 focus GAs, 150+ districts, and 300+ municipalities.
A new MIS portal for daily monitoring and a single-window approval system were mandated to accelerate PNG adoption.
