The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) celebrated the 12th International Day of Yoga on June 21, 2026, with an event at the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) facility in Okhla, New Delhi. Senior officers from both the Ministry and NSIC participated in an energizing yoga session focused on promoting physical fitness, mental resilience, and workplace harmony.

The event followed the national theme 'Yoga for Healthy Ageing,' emphasizing yoga as a lifelong practice for active and dignified aging. The Ministry telecast the live session of Prime Minister Narendra Modi leading the International Yoga Day celebrations from Kolkata.

A Health Check-up Camp was organized in collaboration with MASSH Super Speciality Hospital immediately after the yoga session. The camp provided employees with preventive health screenings including Blood Pressure (BP) Assessment, Random Blood Sugar (RBS) Test, and Body Mass Index (BMI) Evaluation. Additionally, free health check-up coupons were distributed to employees for complimentary diagnostic tests and medical consultations according to the terms and validity of the coupons.

This initiative reflects the Ministry of MSME's commitment to promoting health, wellness, and preventive healthcare among its officers and staff, aligning with the Government of India's vision of encouraging healthier lifestyles through yoga practice.
