The Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises' National SC-ST Hub (NSSH) Scheme is a focused initiative designed to empower entrepreneurs from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes by addressing barriers such as access to markets, finance, technology, and institutional networks. The scheme aims to enhance competitiveness and sustainability of these enterprises while fostering participation in public tenders and creating opportunities for long-term growth and resilience.

The Business Accelerator Programme (BAP) serves as a key component of this initiative, providing structured mentorship, industry insights, and targeted business interventions to help entrepreneurs overcome critical challenges in business strategy, pricing, operational efficiency, and market access. The program operates through prestigious institutions including IIM Sambalpur and IIM Shillong, focusing on transitioning entrepreneurs from fragmented approaches to well-defined, data-driven strategies.

Three specific success stories demonstrate the program's impact: M/s Safety & Security Engineering from West Bengal, operating in the fire safety industry, secured tenders worth ₹8.48 lakh from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited after gaining clarity on pricing framework and cost structure through BAP at IIM Sambalpur. M/s Renergy Solution Pvt. Ltd. from Assam, specializing in renewable energy, transitioned from experience-driven operations to a professionally structured approach, enhancing its positioning for government tender participation. Sawalaram Enterprises from Maharashtra, specializing in hydraulic cylinder manufacturing, secured a ₹5.10 lakh tender from the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) after participating in BAP at IIM Shillong, which provided insights into business strategy and government tenders.

The scheme emphasizes capacity building programs that address critical aspects such as financial management, tender participation, pricing strategies, and regulatory understanding, going beyond conventional training to foster greater business confidence and resilience. The initiative is positioned as contributing to India's vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 by enabling SC/ST entrepreneurs to integrate more effectively into the mainstream economy and contribute meaningfully to the nation's economic progress.
