The National Artificial Intelligence (AI) Skilling Initiative has recorded 60,253 enrolments in Phase I as of the latest data. The program has seen 4,620 participants complete two modules, while 552 participants have completed all four modules of Phase I.
The Phase I curriculum consists of four modules with a total duration of 33 hours, delivered through two learning platforms. Platform 1 includes Module 1: AI Essentials, which focuses on practical skills for daily productivity, data synthesis, and content creation, and Module 2: Prompting Essentials, which provides a framework for writing professional prompts. Platform 2 includes Module 3: Introduction to Generative AI, covering Large Language Model (LLM) fundamentals and responsible AI guidelines, and Module 4: Generative AI Leader, focusing on workflow automation and strategic Gen AI organizational transformation.
The curriculum was jointly designed and developed by the IICT and private sector partners to impart foundational and practical AI skills, with the advanced skilling component conducted by IICT for joint certification. The Government's role has been to provide strategic direction and facilitate program implementation through IICT with the objective of enhancing AI literacy and equipping students with industry-relevant digital skills.
Details of Phase II, including the curriculum, modules, and course duration, are currently under finalization.
