The Ministry of Cooperation has established National Cooperative Organics Ltd (NCOL) under the Multi-State Co-operative Societies Act, 2002, to act as an umbrella organization for organic products.
NCOL has launched 27 organic products under the brand 'Bharat Organics', including pulses, rice, flours, dry fruits, and sweeteners.
NCOL has onboarded 181 cooperative societies from the Northeast and signed MoUs with all Northeastern states for better coordination.
