National Gas' 2026 Summer Outlook sees demand similar to 2025, with power generation down ~6% and domestic use up 2%.
UK Continental Shelf and Norwegian supplies will cover ~86% of summer gas (25.3 bcm), exceeding demand and enabling 21.2 bcm exports to Ireland.
The rest is met by storage (5%, 1.5 bcm) and LNG imports (9%, 2.7 bcm), with 460 mi of pipelines isolated for summer maintenance.
Director Glenn Bryn-Jacobsen said despite Middle East tensions, the market has capacity to meet summer demand.
