On the BSE, Eternal Ltd rose 1.90% to 263.40, Bharti Airtel was up 1.51% to 1,903.05, and Power Grid advanced 1.25% to 292.20.

Infosys Ltd fell sharply, dropping 6.48% (73.10 points) to 1,054.40 on the NSE, marking a five‑year low; on the BSE it slipped 6.41% (72.25 points) to 1,055.00. Tata Consultancy Services Ltd declined 3.04% (67.00 points) to 2,136.30 on NSE and 3.05% to settle at 2,137.00 on BSE. HCL Technologies Ltd was down 2.73% (31.70 points) to 1,130.10 on NSE and 2.55% to 1,132.00 on BSE.

The USD/INR exchange rate edged down 0.01% to 94.32, and the EUR/INR fell 0.01% to 108.07. The US Dollar Index futures were marginally lower, down 0.01% at 100.61.
