Nifty Up 0.51%, Adani Ports +5.4%

Indian equities closed higher with Nifty 50 gaining 0.51% and Sensex rising 0.46% on Monday.
Adani Ports & SEZ led gains, jumping 5.40% to 1,746.80, while Eicher Motors and Jio Financial rose over 3% and 2.8% respectively.
Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bharti Airtel and Dr Reddy’s were top losers, falling 3.18%, 3.07% and 2.61% respectively.
India VIX slipped 1.02% to 18.27; commodities saw gold down 1.92% and crude oil up about 5% with Brent at $113.61.
