Brent crude rose 1.7% to $106.88 per barrel, WTI up 1.4% to $97.21, marking biggest weekly gain since early March.
Prices were driven by continued closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for about one‑fifth of global oil supplies.
President Donald Trump said he will not rush to end the U.S.–Iran conflict.
He also ordered the U.S. Navy to “shoot and kill” any Iranian vessels attempting to mine the Strait of Hormuz.
