Hungarian PM Viktor Orban convened an extraordinary defense council after explosives were discovered near gas infrastructure at the Serbia-Hungary border.
The explosives and activation equipment were found at critical gas infrastructure linking Serbia and Hungary, prompting an investigation per Orban’s Facebook post.
Orban discussed the incident with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, who reported the findings to the Hungarian leader.
The security alert comes ahead of Hungary’s national elections scheduled for April 12, 2026.
