Pakistan is negotiating with Iran to allow limited Qatari LNG tankers through the Strait of Hormuz after one vessel successfully transited.
Al Kharaitiyat left Qatar’s Ras Laffan terminal, took a northern route along Iran’s coast, reaching Gulf of Oman Sunday.
Pakistan recently rejected costly spot‑market LNG, hoping to secure Middle‑East supply, while Qatar’s exports have been stalled since February hostilities.
Prior to the conflict, about three LNG shipments crossed Hormuz daily; two Abu Dhabi‑gas tankers have also recently transited the strait.
