The Government of India, through the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP), is expanding its network of affordable healthcare products beyond medicines to include surgical and healthcare consumables. With over 20,000 Janaushadhi Kendras operational across the country, the initiative now offers comprehensive healthcare products for various life stages including infant care, post-partum recovery, chronic condition management, and elderly care.

For newborn and infant care, the Janaushadhi Bachpan range includes Baby Wipes (pack of 20) priced at ₹45, Baby Feeding Bottle (250 ml), Manual Breast Pump, Hot Water Bag, and Infant Feeding Tube. For post-delivery care, the network offers Abdominal Belts and Cervical Pillows priced at ₹525 to support maternal recovery.

The product range includes medical devices for home healthcare management, with an Electrical Nebulizer Machine available for ₹937.50 and Nebulizer Mask with Tubing (Child) priced at ₹200. For chronic condition monitoring, Glucometer Test Strips (25 strips) are offered at ₹500, and Pulse Oximeters are available for blood oxygen saturation measurement.

For elderly and dependent care, the Jan Aushadhi Swabhiman range provides adult diapers as recurring healthcare products that offer meaningful financial relief to families over extended periods. The government has announced plans to further expand the product basket with several healthcare and supportive-care products currently in the pipeline, including Range of Motion-Knee Brace, Walker (Sit Assist-to-Stand Support), Medical Steam Vaporizer, Foot Elevator Pillow, Pregnancy Back Support Belt, and Cervical Collar.

This expansion reflects the government's continued efforts to make essential healthcare, mobility, rehabilitation, and supportive-care products accessible to all citizens at affordable prices, addressing the continuous healthcare journey and accompanying expenses that families face from infancy through old age.
