The Publications Division under India's Ministry of Information and Broadcasting received seven awards at the Federation of Indian Publishers (FIP) Excellence in Book Production Awards 2026. The division won four second prizes and three third prizes across various categories for its publications in Hindi, English, and Urdu languages.
Director General Dr. Dhiraj Kakadia felicitated the editors of award-winning publications and acknowledged the collective effort behind this achievement. The awards recognize the division's work in publishing high-quality, credible content related to national development, knowledge, science, literature, culture, art, and contemporary issues.
The second prize winners include: Bharat 2026 (Hindi) in Reference Books category; Wings to Our Hopes - Volume 2 in General and Trade Books (English) category; Yojana - July 2026 (Hindi) with 'Viksit Bharat@2047' theme in Journals & House Magazines category; and Kurukshetra - A Rural Development Monthly in Journals & House Magazines (English) category.
The third prize winners include: Dharti Ki Sehat in Children's Books (0-10 Years, Hindi) category; Rangoli Roop Sur Lay Ki in Art and Coffee Table Books (Hindi) category; and Ajkal Urdu - July 2026 in Journals & House Magazines (Urdu) category.
The Federation of Indian Publishers represents over 80% of India's publishing industry, with leading publishers as direct members and others represented through local associations.
