Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth (RAV) in New Delhi observed World Environment Day 2026 on June 5th through a plantation drive and sapling distribution programme. The event was organized in alignment with the 2026 World Environment Day theme 'Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future' and aimed to promote environmental awareness and encourage collective action toward increasing green cover.

The programme was attended by several dignitaries including Vaidya Devendra Triguna (President of the Governing Body, RAV), Dr. Vandana Siroha (Director, Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth), Dr. Sushrut Kanaujia (President, Board of Ethics and Registration, National Commission for Indian System of Medicine), and Dr. B.L. Dignitaries discussed Ayurveda's ecological philosophy, specifically referencing the concepts of Panchamahabhuta Siddhanta and Loka-Purusha Samya, noting that environmental balance is fundamental to human health and well-being. They emphasized that Ayurvedic principles encourage sustainable lifestyles, mindful consumption, and responsible use of natural resources.

A special feature included the distribution of saplings among officials and staff members to encourage active contribution to environmental conservation through planting and nurturing trees in their communities. The event served to reaffirm the institution's commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable living while underscoring the continued relevance of Ayurveda in promoting harmony with nature.
