Retail investors may participate on a non‑competitive basis, but their allocation is capped at a maximum of 5 percent of the notified amount for each issue. Regulatory and policy measures

The auction is conducted under the terms and conditions of General Notification F.No.4(2)-B(W&M)/2018 dated March 26, 2025, as amended from time to time. Allocations for participants specified by the Bank, such as state governments and foreign central banks, will be made outside the notified amount. The RBI reiterates that the auction process follows the established legal framework and that all participants must adhere to the stipulated procedures.

The RBI’s Treasury Bill auction aims to inject ₹23,000 crore of short‑term government securities into the market, providing a tool for liquidity management while offering a range of tenors to meet diverse investor needs.
