The RBI released the full auction outcomes for two government securities: the 7.06 % Government Security maturing in 2041 and the 7.43 % Government Security maturing in 2076. For the 2041 issue, the notified amount was ₹17,000 crore; 264 competitive bids were received totalling ₹43,115 crore, of which 141 bids amounting to ₹16,940.69 crore were accepted. The cut‑off price was 99.93 rupees per 100, corresponding to a yield to maturity of 7.0668 %, while the weighted average price was 99.96 rupees (yield 7.0635 %). Partial allotment was applied to 20 competitive bids, resulting in an overall allotment percentage of 60.2602 %. Non‑competitive participation comprised eight bids for a total of ₹59.31 crore, all of which were fully allotted at the same price. Underwriting was fully satisfied, with the entire notified amount of ₹17,000 crore taken up by primary dealers, and no devolvement was required.
For the 2076 issue, the notified amount was ₹11,000 crore; 160 competitive bids were received totalling ₹26,354 crore, of which 42 bids amounting to ₹10,984.80 crore were accepted. The cut‑off price was 98.22 rupees per 100, yielding 7.5674 % YTM, and the weighted average price was 98.38 rupees (yield 7.5548 %). Partial allotment applied to a single competitive bid, giving an overall allotment percentage of 48.5333 %. Four non‑competitive bids totalling ₹15.20 crore were fully allotted. The underwriting amount of ₹11,000 crore was fully taken up by primary dealers, with no devolvement.
The auction results indicate strong demand for both securities, with competitive bid amounts exceeding the notified issues by more than two‑fold, and full underwriting coverage achieved without any need for dealer devolvement.
