The Reserve Bank of India has formally launched the 115th round of its Quarterly Industrial Outlook Survey (IOS) for the reference period July‑September 2026, representing the second quarter of the 2026‑27 financial year. The survey is designed to capture business sentiment among Indian manufacturing firms on a set of qualitative indicators covering demand conditions, financial conditions, employment conditions and the prevailing price situation. In addition to assessing the current quarter, the questionnaire solicits expectations for the subsequent quarter (Q3:2026‑27) and provides outlooks for the later quarters (Q4:2026‑27 and Q1:2027‑28).
Findings from the IOS will be released in summary form on the RBI’s official website, with the identity of respondents kept confidential. The survey is being conducted by M/s Genesis Management & Market Research Pvt. Ltd., which has been authorised by the RBI to approach selected manufacturing companies. Other manufacturing entities are encouraged to participate by downloading the survey questionnaire from the RBI’s website under the ‘Survey’ sub‑section and submitting a duly authenticated copy via the e‑mail address provided in the questionnaire.
