Regulatory and Policy Measures
The RBI has initiated the 116th quarterly Industrial Outlook Survey covering the Indian manufacturing sector for the reference period October‑December 2026 (Q3:2026‑27). The survey captures current business sentiment on demand conditions, financial conditions, employment conditions and price situation, and records expectations for the next quarter (Q4:2026‑27) as well as for Q1 and Q2 of fiscal year 2027‑28.
M/s Genesis Management & Market Research Pvt. Ltd. has been authorised to conduct the survey on behalf of the RBI. The agency will approach a selected set of companies, while other manufacturing firms are invited to download the questionnaire from the RBI website and submit authenticated responses by e‑mail as per the instructions provided.
The RBI will publish the survey findings in summary form on its website, ensuring that the identity of respondents remains confidential.
