S&P 500 closed at 7,210.24, crossing 7,200 for first time, posting 1% daily gain and 10.4% monthly rise, best since Nov 2020.
Nasdaq rose 0.9% to 24,892.31, gaining 15.3% in April—the strongest monthly performance since April 2020.
Alphabet rose 10%, Amazon 0.8%, Microsoft fell 3.9% but guided acceleration, Meta dropped 8.6% after raising 2026 capex to $125‑145 bn.
