S&P 500 Tops 7,200, Best Month Since 2020

S&P 500 closed at 7,204.39, a record high and over 10% monthly gain, its best performance since November 2020.
Dow Jones rose 1.6% to 49,633.74 and Nasdaq gained 0.9% to 24,886.69, while tech earnings showed mixed results.
Magnificent 7 firms spent $130.65 bn on AI data centers Q1 (71% YoY), with Alphabet up ~10% and Meta down 8%.
Fed kept rates at 3.50‑3.75% as core PCE rose 0.3% MoM, headline PCE 0.7% MoM, and Q1 GDP grew 2% annualised.
