SAIL supplied 4,000 tonnes of special steel plates for the Indian Navy's stealth frigate INS Taragiri, built by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders.
The steel was produced at SAIL's integrated plants in Bokaro, Bhilai, and Rourkela, supporting India's defence indigenisation.
This continues SAIL's role in key naval projects, having also supplied steel for INS Vikrant and other Project 17A frigates.
