SHIF, a partnership of Sachin Tendulkar Foundation and Schneider Electric India, inaugurated a Climate Smart Village in Guhir, Maharashtra.
The project installs a 40‑kW solar array with IoT‑enabled power management, supplying 113 households, 25 streetlights, and an Anganwadi for 30 children.
Solar‑powered irrigation pumps and agro‑processing units run through a women‑led Farmer Producer Organization, aiming to double irrigated land and boost farmer incomes.
The model, supported by BAIF Institute, targets climate resilience, SDG‑4 and SDG‑7, and is slated for replication across India.
