The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education has organized Yuva Sangam Phase VII programme under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative, aimed at strengthening cultural and emotional bonds among Indian youth. The program enables participants to explore cultural heritage, traditions, educational landscape, and developmental achievements across 20 paired States and higher educational institutions.
A Telangana delegation led by Central University of Karnataka arrived in Guwahati on October 4, 2026, and was welcomed by Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. On October 5, 2026, the delegation began with a yoga session focusing on wellness, mindfulness, and positive energy, highlighting India's traditional knowledge systems. The same day, the delegation interacted with Assam Governor Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya, gaining insights into Assam's rich heritage, traditions, and cultural significance.
The Telangana-Assam exchange reflects the program's core objective of encouraging young Indians to explore national diversity, engage with communities beyond their home states, and develop appreciation for India's shared cultural heritage. These exchanges provide opportunities for youth to connect and contribute to the vision of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat while strengthening unity in diversity.
