The Governor of Telangana, Shiv Pratap Shukla, interacted with a Meghalaya student delegation at Lok Bhavan, Hyderabad on May 28, 2026, as part of the Yuva Sangam Phase VI educational and cultural exchange program. The delegation from Indian Institute of Management Shillong was hosted by National Institute of Technology Warangal, beginning their visit on May 25, 2026. During the interaction, the Governor emphasized the role of youth in strengthening national integration and promoting cultural understanding. The delegation visited multiple cultural and educational sites across Telangana including Hussain Sagar Lake, Statue of Equality, Ramappa Temple, Warangal Fort, Bhadrakali Temple, Thousand Pillar Temple, Kanha Shanti Vanam, and T-Hub innovation center. At NIT Warangal, they explored research facilities and participated in a plantation drive promoting environmental sustainability. The program concluded with a valedictory event on May 30, 2026, and the delegation departed for Meghalaya on May 31, 2026. Yuva Sangam Phase VI is an initiative by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education that brings together participants from 22 paired States and Union Territories to foster national unity and cultural harmony through immersive educational exchanges.
