The Ministry of Textiles has highlighted the achievements of the Textile Committee under Special Campaign 6, conducted from October 2 to 31, 2026. The campaign focused on institutional cleanliness, efficient record management, disposal of pending matters, and promotion of sustainable practices across the organization and its regional offices.

During the first week (October 2-9), the Committee focused on record management and space optimization by cleaning and reorganizing record racks, arranging files systematically, and removing obsolete materials. The second week (October 10-16) involved the removal of scrap materials, cardboard boxes, old waste cartons, and other unusable items from office premises, with similar drives conducted across all Regional Offices.

The most significant achievement came during the third week (October 17-23), when the Textile Committee generated revenue of ₹4,38,444 through extensive scrap disposal. The materials disposed included accumulated packing materials, waste plastic materials, and remnant samples. This initiative facilitated clearance of accumulated waste, contributed to improved workplace cleanliness, better space utilization, and more organized working environment while promoting responsible waste management and resource efficiency.

The overall campaign resulted in improved cleanliness, better space utilization, and efficient record management through collective efforts of all officers and staff. The Ministry continues to encourage all attached offices and subordinate organizations to sustain the momentum of cleanliness, good governance, and efficient public administration beyond the campaign period.
