TRAI Mobile Network Quality Assessment for Nuh and Palwal Districts
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) conducted an Independent Drive Test (IDT) across Nuh and Palwal cities and adjoining areas in Haryana LSA from July 13 to 15, 2026, to assess real-time quality of mobile network services provided by Telecom Service Providers. The testing covered 295.2 km of city drives, 1.8 km of walk tests, and 6 hotspot locations under the supervision of TRAI Regional Office Jaipur, using multiple advanced test handsets to monitor key Quality of Service parameters including coverage, call drop rate, call setup success rate, packet loss rate, and data download/upload throughput.
Nuh District Performance
Coverage gap analysis showed Airtel had 346 poor signal samples out of 15,867 total samples, BSNL had 4,021/15,424, RJIL had 784/15,626, and VIL had 327/15,836. Dropped calls were minimal: Airtel 0/142, BSNL 5/140, RJIL 1/141, and VIL 0/143. Call silence instances (>3 seconds) were recorded as Airtel 13/136, BSNL 35/131, RJIL 5/135, and VIL 20/139. Packet loss rates showed downlink performance: Airtel 1.84%, BSNL 5.35%, RJIL 2.11%, VIL 3.33%; uplink: Airtel 2.06%, BSNL 3.12%, RJIL 2.84%, VIL 2.21%. Data download throughput averaged Airtel 75.70 Mbps (5G/4G), BSNL 6.78 Mbps (4G/3G/2G), RJIL 130.28 Mbps (5G/4G), VIL 20.03 Mbps (5G/4G/2G). Upload speeds averaged Airtel 14.26 Mbps, BSNL 6.21 Mbps, RJIL 9.71 Mbps, VIL 10.84 Mbps.
Palwal District Performance
Coverage gap measurements showed Airtel had 279 poor signal samples out of 30,406 total, BSNL 2,239/29,643, RJIL 768/29,489, and VIL 241/30,350. Dropped calls were: Airtel 1/272, BSNL 3/268, RJIL 1/251, VIL 0/269. Call silence instances were: Airtel 10/259, BSNL 11/258, RJIL 9/250, VIL 17/265. Packet loss rates showed downlink: Airtel 0.79%, BSNL 2.57%, RJIL 1.62%, VIL 1.22%; uplink: Airtel 0.96%, BSNL 1.40%, RJIL 1.78%, VIL 1.35%. Data download performance averaged Airtel 105.00 Mbps (5G/4G), BSNL 13.92 Mbps (4G/3G/2G), RJIL 212.03 Mbps (5G/4G), VIL 40.70 Mbps (5G/4G/2G). Upload speeds averaged Airtel 20.96 Mbps, BSNL 7.20 Mbps, RJIL 14.52 Mbps, VIL 13.03 Mbps.
The testing covered multiple locations including Tauru, Rewasan, Ghasera, Nuh, Akera, Nagina, Mandkhera, Mohlaka, Sakras, Ferozpur, Jhirka in Nuh district, and Mandkola, Palwal Rural, Dhal, Baghola, Alawalpur, Deeghot, Khatela Sarai, Banchari, Hodal, Singar, Punhana, and Phangwan in Palwal district. The findings have been shared with respective TSPs for necessary action, and detailed reports are available on TRAI's website at www.trai.gov.in.
