A helicopter operated by M/S Transbharat Aviation Pvt Ltd, bearing registration VT-HCX (type AS350B3), crashed in the forest area near Chai village, Joshimath, Uttarakhand on 30 October 2026. The aircraft had taken off from Badrinath helipad at 1314 hours and was enroute to Sahastradhara helipad in Dehradun with one pilot and five passengers onboard. The wreckage has been located and search and rescue operations are currently underway. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has dispatched a team to Dehradun to conduct preliminary regulatory assessment into this accident.
