Tribhuvan Sahkari University has reported a total enrolment of 350 students for the academic year 2026-27 across its four MBA programs. The enrolment breakdown shows MBA in Rural Management has the highest intake with 224 students, followed by MBA in Agribusiness Management with 53 students, MBA in Cooperative Banking and Finance with 50 students, and MBA in Cooperative Management with 23 students.
The university operates under the mandate of the "Tribhuvan" Sahkari University Act, 2025, with the primary objective of providing qualified and trained manpower to meet the present and future needs of India's cooperative sector. Its mission includes providing training, education, and capacity building to employees and board members of cooperative societies through a pan-India network of affiliated institutes and outlying campuses.
In line with this mandate, the university has expanded its network by affiliating 16 institutions across 10 states and union territories. The affiliated institutions include VAMNICOM in Pune, Maharashtra; Institute of Cooperative Management in Jaipur, Rajasthan; ICCMRT in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh; Regional Institute of Cooperative Management in Chandigarh; MIDFT in Mehsana, Gujarat; and several other prominent training and management institutes across Manipur, Bihar, Jharkhand, Sikkim, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh.
This information was formally disclosed by Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, in a written reply presented in the Lok Sabha. The data represents the current academic year's enrolment figures and institutional affiliations as of August 4, 2026.
