Canada's S&P/TSX composite index rose 0.5% to 33,879.24, touching an almost six‑week high.
U.S. stocks also climbed, with the Dow up 0.6%, S&P 500 up 1.1% and Nasdaq up 1.8%.
Oil prices slipped below $100 a barrel, Brent at $98.14 (-1.2%) and WTI at $96.64 (-2.5%).
Gold rose 0.7% to $4,770.73/oz as the dollar weakened amid hopes of de‑escalation in the U.S.–Iran standoff.
