Union Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & Information Technology Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, along with Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Law & Justice and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, participated in a mass yoga session at Karni Singh Stadium in Bikaner on the occasion of International Day of Yoga. Minister Vaishnaw described yoga as India's ancient and invaluable heritage that is now being embraced globally under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guidance, noting that regular practice improves physical health, promotes mental peace, positive thinking, and stress-free living. Minister Meghwal emphasized that yoga is an integral part of Indian culture and philosophy, essential for building a strong society and developed nation through healthy bodies and minds, teaching discipline, self-control, and balance. The event saw participation from a large number of school students, youth, women, representatives of social organizations, and officials from various government departments, who practiced various yoga postures, pranayama, and meditation under the guidance of yoga instructors.
