The Ministry of Education handed over Letter of Approval to University of Liverpool, United Kingdom to establish its branch campus in Bengaluru, Karnataka
The LoA was handed over by Dr. Vineet Joshi, Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Chairman, University Grants Commission (UGC)
Recipient was Professor Richard Grose, Provost, University of Liverpool Bengaluru
Event witnessed by Union Minister for Education Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar, and UK Foreign Secretary Rt. Hon. Yvette Cooper

University was granted Letter of Intent (LoI) on May 26, 2025 in New Delhi under UGC (Setting Up and Operation of Campuses of Foreign Higher Educational Institutions in India) Regulations, 2023
University completed required academic, infrastructure and regulatory preparations over past year
LoA granted after assessment of readiness and compliance with Regulations by UGC
Campus will offer Under Graduate and Post Graduate programmes in business management, computer science, game design, finance and biomedical sciences
University plans to introduce additional disciplines in coming years
