The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced additional recommendations from the reserve list of the Combined Geo-Scientist Examination, 2025. Following the initial result declaration on October 29, 2025, which recommended 80 candidates for appointment, the Commission has now recommended 16 additional candidates from the consolidated Reserve List maintained under Rule 16 (iv) & (v) of the examination rules.

The recommendation comes in response to a requisition from the Ministry of Mines. The 16 candidates comprise 13 for the posts of Scientist 'B' (Hydrogeology), Group 'A'/Assistant Hydrogeologist, Group 'B', with category-wise distribution of General-04, OBC-07, EWS-01, and SC-01. Additionally, 3 candidates are recommended for the posts of Geophysicist, Group 'A'/Scientist 'B' (Geophysics), Group 'A'/Assistant Geophysicist, Group 'B', consisting of General-02 and EWS-01 categories.

The candidature of three recommended candidates is provisional or conditional: candidate 0390013 has conditional status, while candidates 1090492 and 0290224 have provisional status. The Ministry of Mines will communicate directly with all recommended candidates regarding their appointments. The results were published on July 15, 2026, through the PIB Delhi release mechanism.
