US Stocks Mixed: CPI Cool, Oil Drops

U.S. stocks mixed on Friday as S&P 500 fell 0.1% to 6,817.93 while Nasdaq rose 0.3% to 22,887.96.
March CPI rose 0.9% month‑on‑month and 3.3% year‑on‑year, below consensus, with energy up 10.9% M/M and gasoline 21.2% M/M.
Core CPI increased only 0.2% M/M and 2.6% Y/Y, missing expectations of 0.3% and 2.7% respectively.
Oil prices fell as Brent slipped 0.3% to $95.63 and WTI 1.3% to $96.56 amid limited Hormuz traffic and Saudi output cuts.
