Overview

Velvetree launched the Velvetree Colour Awards – AURA 2026, a national platform created to recognise and celebrate exceptional talent in professional hair colouring and styling across India.

Participation and Competition Structure

The competition attracted more than 1,500 entries in Round 1, reflecting strong interest among hair‑colour professionals and aspiring artists. After an initial screening, 100 participants progressed to Round 2, and a further selection narrowed the field to 36 finalists who earned a place at the Grand Finale.

Grand Finale Event Details

The two‑day Grand Finale was held on 28 and 29 September 2026 at the Tivoli Hotel, Chhatarpur, Delhi. Day 1 began with finalist check‑ins, followed by lunch and the pre‑lightening and colour deposition process, allowing participants to translate their creative concepts into final colour creations. In the evening, Velvetree Founder Mr. Pardeep Aggarwal, together with his family and team, hosted a candle‑lit dinner by the poolside for the finalists and jury, providing a relaxed networking setting.

Day 2 featured a styling challenge and participant interviews, after which the evening showcase highlighted the finalists’ work through behind‑the‑scenes footage, the Velvetree brand film, and dramatic ramp walks displaying the colour creations.

Jury and Chief Guests

The distinguished jury comprised Mr. Varun Attri, Mr. Naseem Salmani, Mr. Uday Takke, Mr. Vikas Marwah, and Mr. Deepak Jalhan, whose professional perspectives guided the evaluation. Mr. Rajiv Gupta and Mr. Najeeb Ur Rehman attended as Chief Guests, underscoring the event’s significance.

Winners and Recognitions

After final evaluations, the Velvetree Colour Awards – AURA 2026 honours were announced:

  • Winner: Saviel Norbert C Drozario of HEADTURNERS.
  • First Runner‑Up: Devyani Deshmukh of U Takke’s Institute of Hair and Skin.
  • Second Runner‑Up: Mohit Sen.
  • Second Runner‑Up: Alasba Khan of Naseem Salon Academy.

Closing Celebration

The Grand Finale concluded with an after‑party attended by finalists, jury members, guests, and the Velvetree team, marking the culmination of two days dedicated to colour, creativity, craftsmanship, and the future of professional hair artistry.
