Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan addressed the Founders' Day Celebrations and inaugurated 'Arivukoodam' at Kongu Vellalar Institute of Technology (KVIT) Trust in Perundurai, Erode, emphasizing that educational institutions must evolve into global centers of knowledge, research, and innovation. He noted that KVIT institutions have educated nearly one lakh students and commended their global linkages with Germany, the US, France, and Japan.
The Vice President urged youth to transition from basic education to research-oriented education and prepare for emerging fields including artificial intelligence, robotics, semiconductors, quantum technology, biotechnology, and digital technology. He emphasized the importance of research, innovation, patents, and strong industry-academia collaboration for India's continued progress, while also highlighting the value of yoga and meditation for mental peace and intellectual sharpness.
During the event, Memoranda of Understanding were exchanged between Anchor Industries and Arivukoodam – A Research Park to strengthen industry-academia collaboration and promote research and innovation. The Vice President also unveiled plaques commemorating the foundation stone laying of Arivukoodam Research Park, Pharmacy College, Kongu Naturopathy and Yoga Medical College, and the Cloud Kitchen of KVITT. The event was attended by Governor of Tamil Nadu and Keralam Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Supreme Court Justice M. M. Sundresh, and KVIT Trust Chairman Devarajan.
