Vice President of India Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan addressed the 80th Foundation Day celebrations of Organiser Weekly at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, emphasizing that democracies flourish when the press informs, questions, and encourages informed public debate while respecting facts and maintaining credibility. He stated that press freedom is meaningful only when exercised with courage and responsibility, describing Organiser's eight-decade journey as one of continuity, resilience, and sustained commitment to public discourse across generations.

The Vice President specifically recalled Organiser's steadfast stand during the Emergency period and its historic 1949 legal challenge against censorship, which became a landmark in the evolution of media freedom in independent India. He noted that Organiser and its sister publication The Motherland became rallying points for those committed to safeguarding constitutional democracy during difficult periods.

Over its eight decades, Organiser has actively participated in national debates concerning unity, integrity, security, culture, and governance, including engagement with issues relating to Jammu and Kashmir, the Praja Parishad movement, national security during wars with China and Pakistan, Swadeshi, the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, and other significant developments in India's public life.

During the event, the Vice President released two books: 'Hindutva Discourse After Independence – Reading With Organiser Pages' by Prafulla Ketkar and Gautam Choubey, and 'Temples Beyond Bharat' by Dr. Ujwala Chakradeo. He noted that Organiser's eight decades of documentation constitute an important archival record of India's political, social, and intellectual evolution, providing a valuable window into the evolution of Hindutva discourse in independent India.

The event was attended by Sarkaryavah of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Shri Dattatreya Hosabale, Managing Director of Bharat Prakashan Limited Shri Arun Kumar Goyal, Editor of Organiser Shri Prafulla Ketkar, and Sanghchalak of Delhi Prant, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Dr. Anil Aggarwal. The Vice President concluded by stating that Organiser has consistently brought to the forefront issues that many preferred to overlook, serving as the voice of the soul of the nation guided by commitment to national interest.
