Vice President Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan released the book 'Vishwasanchar Hindutva Ka', published by Saptahik Vivek, at Uprashtrapati Bhavan on September 24, 2026. The event marked the publication's release by the weekly magazine Saptahik Vivek, which was established in 1948 and has engaged with Maharashtra's social, cultural, and public life while publishing research-oriented literature on Bharat's culture, national and international affairs, and social questions.
The Vice President noted the timeliness of the publication coinciding with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's centenary, having been founded by Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar in Nagpur in 1925. He emphasized the inclusive character of Hindutva, stating explicitly that 'Hindutva is not against anyone. Hindutva cannot be against anyone. It takes everyone together,' describing it as representing a union of core values, cultural ideals, genuine human relationships, and the ideal of universal well-being.
Radhakrishnan highlighted the RSS's remarkable expansion from a small beginning with few people to a global organization with swayamsevaks contributing to different spheres of national and social life. He drew parallels between the growth of the Ganga river from a small stream to carrying large ships and the RSS's organizational journey. The Vice President also noted how Yoga has transitioned from an ancient Indian discipline to a global practice, representing how Indian traditions can travel beyond geographical and cultural origins.
He called upon young people to read, question, investigate, and understand Bharat's rich heritage while remaining conscious of constitutional values and democratic institutions, stating that 'a civilization thrives and grows when it has the confidence to engage with change while retaining its roots in its foundational values, culture and ethos.' Dignitaries present included Shri Vinod Tawde, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha; Shri Shivshankar, Managing Director of Suyog Telematic Limited, Mumbai; and Shri Ravindra Gole, Editor of Saptahik Vivek.
