The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, through Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), has completed the Viksit Bharat Quiz as part of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2027 initiative. The quiz recorded an overwhelming 1,45,26,013 participation attempts during the selection process conducted from 17 August to 30 September 2026. Approximately 5.7 lakh qualified participants will now advance to the Viksit Bharat Essay Challenge, requiring submission of 500-word essays on the MY Bharat portal by 15th October 2026. Essays may be written in any of 23 languages available on the portal across ten designated thematic areas including Future Governance, Climate Security, Demographic Dividend, Sustainable Industrialization, Act East policy, Manufacturing, Tribal Leadership, Innovation Economy, Technology, and Blue Economy. The most promising contributors will be shortlisted for in-person presentation rounds at district level, followed by state/UT level competitions, ultimately leading to selection of a national contingent for the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue. The initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision to create opportunities for youth participation in public life and contribution to nation-building towards the Viksit Bharat @2047 vision.
